how do piezoelectric ceramic materials work?
The piezoelectric ceramic plate is the main component of the buzzer
plate (device), so it is called a piezoelectric element. The reason why piezoelectric ceramic plates can emit the sound of
beeping is to use the principle of piezoelectric effect. The piezoelectric effect has a positive piezoelectric effect and
inverse piezoelectric effect two kinds.
Piezoelectric effect: when the piezoelectric ceramic chip is
applied to an external force, the piezoelectric chip will produce
an electric charge, this phenomenon is called the positive
piezoelectric effect; On the contrary, when the electric field is
applied to the piezoelectric plate, the piezoelectric ceramic plate
will produce mechanical deformation, and its strain is proportional
to the strength of the electric field, which is called the inverse
piezoelectric effect, the stronger the electric field intensity,
the greater the amplitude of vibration. This phenomenon is called the inverse piezoelectric effect:
voltage-pressure and all kinds of piezoelectric ceramic devices
work by using this characteristic.
